An Ethical Will, also known as a Legacy Letter, is a statement of your values, hopes, and wisdom. This workshop helps you write your ethical will so that your family will understand what is important to you. The first session of our workshop clarifies why ethical wills are experiencing a rebirth, who writes them, and how they are written. The second session offers an opportunity for participants share their own ethical will documents if they so desire. Open to the general public, also useful to estate lawyers, financial planners, hospice professionals.

It is hard to integrate memories and feelings after a death, especially when they are intense, complicated, and unfocussed. This goal-oriented but supportive workshop includes discussion, writing, and homework. Each participant produces his or her own private book, with a dual focus: the deceased and the writer's personal feelings. We do some laughing, crying, singing, and eating, as well as writing.
